Konrad Thọ Fiedler's directorial debut, RUNNING EAGLE: Pitamakan (2017), was awarded Best of the Northwest Short at the BendFilm festival in Bend, Oregon.
RUNNING EAGLE was awarded Excellence in Film Editing at the Barcelona International Film Festival. It was an official selection at Raindance (London), Hawaii International (Honolulu), deadCenter (Oklahoma City), Red Nation (Los Angeles), Tribal (Tulsa, OK), Oxford (Mississippi), Taos Shortz (New Mexico), Bigfork Independent (Montana), Athens International Film and Video (Ohio), and the Athens International Short Film Festival Psarokokalo (Greece). RUNNING EAGLE is the prologue short film to a feature project in development.
Konrad was a cinematography fellow at the American Film Institute (AFI) conservatory in Los Angeles.
A former staff photographer for The New York Sun newspaper, Konrad's photographs of the crisis in Darfur are in the permanent collection at the Library of Congress and were nominated for Pulitzer consideration.
