Konrad Thọ Fiedler's directorial debut, RUNNING EAGLE, won Best of the Northwest Short at the BendFilm festival in Bend, Oregon. It is the prologue short film preview to a feature project in development.
RUNNING EAGLE was awarded Excellence in Film Editing at the Barcelona International Film Festival and was a finalist for award consideration at the Blow-up Film Fest (Chicago). It was an official selection at Raindance (London), Hawaii International (Honolulu), deadCenter (Oklahoma City), Red Nation (Los Angeles), Tribal (Tulsa), Oxford (Mississippi), Taos Shortz (New Mexico), Bigfork Independent (Montana), Athens International Film and Video (Ohio), Athens International Short Film Psarokokalo (Greece), Holly Shorts (Los Angeles), San Jose International Shorts, and the San Diego International Film Festivals.
A filmmaker based in Los Angeles, Konrad completed the cinematography program at the American Film Institute Conservatory (AFI).
A former staff photographer and photo editor at The New York Sun newspaper, Konrad's photographs of the crisis in Darfur are in the permanent collection at the Library of Congress and were nominated for Pulitzer consideration. Konrad attended college at Columbia University, majoring in Urban Studies.
